Microphone: record audio from your computer's microphone.

Click the pull-down menu of 'Audio device name' > choose the audio source. Next, enter ' Media' > ' Open Capture Device'. Open VLC and then go to 'View' > 'Advanced Controls'. Steps of recording audio from microphone via VLC on Windows and Mac are a little different.
